"When the Universe opens, you hear nothing but an endless silence.
Only the music lets us imagine what we really find there !"
Stefan Erbes show is truly an innovation in the world of the planetariums, because it has found a form of representation that are simply did not exist before, and truly unique. The symbiosis of live concert and extended DJ-ing, with a variable and individual visuality of full-dome animations gives a remarkable blend. THE "Sound of Sky"! Synthetically generated music, known as "electronic music", is probably the most diverse type of variation and opens up a wide range that can´t offer any other music genre. Ambient, Chillout, Lounge, orchestral music, House, Dance and many other forms of this spectrum surrounds us every day. However, we perceive it hardly, because as obvious as it seems to us, as fast as we consume it, the music doesnt´t rarely persists longer in our consciousness. Only when the pictures and impressions connect with the sounds and tracks, the music reach what it does best, it creates emotions in us and forms a basis for changing our attention. It is this type of music that seems to have been created especially for planetariums, but it will open the room for own suggestions and imagination. Even the term "space music" describe exactly this character and names it so aptly.
Erbes "Sound of Sky" leads this path but take a step further and combined always a very selective range of electronic music with the unique atmosphere of the rounded dome, with the Universarium as an impressive star projector and the 8 full-dome digital projectors to a very conscious journey of audio and visuals. The sound and the songs are matched for their 70-minute trip and mixed cleverly, so that you can´t be sure where the new track begins and where it ends. "Sound of Sky" varies every time and no evening is like a previous event, whether it is a "regular" edition or a late-night concert with special guest, a special theme-night or a retrospective view into the "pioneering days" of electronics.
Since May 2011, thousands of fans have already visited many of the shows of the astro-musician and were able to determine that "Sound of Sky" is suitable, either as a unique weekend relaxation or as a universal "club starter".
